FAQ

What does a typical office visit include?

The first visit to Warwick Family Chiropractic will include brief paperwork and a one-on-one going over pertinent medical history, followed by an exam to determine the diagnosis of your complaint. Following the exam, and any questions you may have, you will receive same day treatment, lasting anywhere from 15-20 minutes and focusing on all aspects of your injury and health. Many times, aside from an adjustment, patient’s will receive soft tissue work, various modalities including ice or heat and stretching and exercising tips and advice to maintain movement when not in the office.

Am I Going to have to come in every day?

To maximize your potential of achieving a full recovery, it is possible for you to be expected to come in several days within the same week. With that being said, Chiropractic is about teaching just as much as it is about treating, and through a combination of the two, you will gain all the tools you need to take care of your own body, eventually, with the means to avoid injuries and rely more on chiropractic for maintaining optimal health and well-being.

Is chiropractic dangerous?

For the vast majority of patients, the largest risks associated with chiropractic treatment include mild soreness or light bruising due to manual soft tissue manipulations. One of the primary reasons for the history taking and examination on the first visit is to rule out any ‘red flags’ that may allude to more severe risks you may have that warrant an alternative approach to treatment. If there are any reservations or questions about any of the techniques used at Warwick Family Chiropractic, patients are encouraged to speak your mind immediately.
